Relocating used to be affordable because you could get a kitchenette or small apartment for under 400$ 20years ago. I had no idea rent had just got out of sight because I’ve been a homeowner and saved lots of money that way. It’s disgraceful what elected officials have been able to do in office. They go in middle class and come out millionaires. They go in office and sell out the voters at the same time. Sick of both parties. Both of them are guilty.

hedge funds & private equity firms buying up mobile home parks where seniors live, then jack up prices to drive them out so they can redevelop the land into a more profitable scheme for them. therefore they're creating homelessness and the government does nothing, in fact the government gives lots of big corporations low interest loans enabling them to buy out those parks where seniros own(ed) their mobile homes buy leased the lot....it's shocking after they worked all their lives

He even comforted James Earl Ray in prison. That takes character. Bear in mind, in the korean war he was a conscientious objector. They tortured those people. Did all kinds of things to them. Rest in peace great lion ❤

What an INCREDIBLE HUMAN BEING. His intellect, courage and love for his fellow man was unmatchable in any other human being. UNMATCHABLE. He was the genuine REAL DEAL. He deserves a deep forever space in the hearts of his fellow man. He along with father Breen made the "soul" of Nashville Tennessee a warm and loving one. This passing marks the end of a great era in a once great God loving, walk the walk city. Rest in peace Revelator Lawson. Go be with your lord now, you served it well. ❤

I remember reading an essay by William F. Buckley, yes one of those meannie Conservatives which leftist dems condemn. I can't recall the title of the book, or essay I read, regardless, I can recall the objective. In this book/ essay he described the difference between the "system" which existed from the turn of the 20th century up until the Federal government's institution of the New deal, and the Federal Government's War on Poverty. During the turn of the 20th century people certainly lived on less, if they needed assistance they first turned to family, if necessary then the church, and benevolent fraternal organizations. Once the government replaced the family, and church; then the "needy" really found out how difficult times could become, the government sure as Hell did not care. The family, and others stood back for the government to "help." The truth is that the government bureaucrats/social workers who populate the system care about themselves, additionally they have no interest in "eliminating poverty" poverty keeps them with a job, CA proves this point. The social workers are the biggest advocates for poverty, not genuine solutions to end it. Anyway, government makes poverty worse, by absorbing the problem, the government is humanistic/athestic. Consider today the leftist dem regime running this country are using tax money to actively import criminal illegal aliens into the US while many who have paid taxes their entire life are in poverty. When my father (and a half - brother) left home at 18 to work in a coal mine using hand tools doing manual labor they sent all their earnings (less boarding expenses) "home to the step father for 2 years. My father then sent the step father a letter saying that he was sending no more money, was marrying, and starting on his own. The step father replied well who will help me work the farm. Years later my father kept his mother in his house for about 30 years. He/they never starved, were never homeless, never broke, he was successful despite losing his right hand in the coal mines. Leftist governments are NOT your friend..

As an American you can work most of your life and pay into social security but still end up homeless. Illegals who never paid a dime into SS are eligible to get it and at 3 times what a working American gets. They also get welfare benefits including ALL medical . We truly are a nation of sheep this has been going on for decades. Plus the lie that they will work for less than Americans of course they will because they are also getting all the benefits that many Americans cannot. Long pat the time for Americans to wake up.

  • @judyhalsell9510

There are many homeless who are not drunks or drug users. Our so called “ low income” housing is set up for the illegal people first. I know because a few years ago I was in this situation and every low income housing I applied for was full up with them. They come first Americans come last. This happens across this country in every state. Maine kicked out Americans when OUR government brought plane loads of illegal’s from Somalia. For years our system has been killing seniors in one way or another. We have been replaced.

  • @juniperrob4741

You could probably renovate and establish homeless shelters in the many empty military barracks in the area for a couple of million or use FEMA trailors. Make it a Federal program instead of draining taxpayers" needed money for other projects. The Federal program would completely remove the homeless encampments off the streets of Nashville. Clothing, Food, Shelter, medical, mental and job training would be provided. A city bus service would be set up to allow the homeless to come and go from the barracks but it would be with the caveat that if they are found living on the streets again they would be transported back to the barracks. Can anyone tell me why this would not work. Does anyone have the initiative to take this on. I am 72 yrs old with an idea.
